Your effectiveness in the workplace is determined by many factors. Some are largely fixed, such as your personality and general mental ability. DEVELOP gives you a range of tools to help you measure these factors so you can better understand what makes you who you.
Others factors that determine workplace effectiveness are more flexible, such as your competencies, and can be improved. DEVELOP includes several tools, including a 360 review tool, to help you see where you are on your competency development journey.
With these tools, you can identify your strengths, pinpoint areas for improvement, and track your development over time.
The 360 Review assessment allows you to ask various people, such as your colleagues and manager for feedback. You also have to complete this assessment for yourself. You can assess all competencies at once. If you focus on a small number of competencies, you are more likely to achieve results and be able to monitor your progress.
The Personality Assessment reveals certain aspects of your character. There is no such thing as a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ personality profile. Your profile can help to predict how you will respond in certain situations and how to take advantage of your strengths to maximise your competency development.
General mental ability assessments are useful because they help you to predict your potential to learn. This test consists of 20 tasks. Each task consists of nine figures. The first four figures form a series. They are therefore in a certain order. You need to choose from the five answer figures which figure would be the next one in the sequence.
In the leadership game, you will be immersed in an authentic workplace context. The interactions with your virtual team members will help to identify your preferred leadership style. You will also fill out a questionnaire to determine how you think of yourself as a leader.
